Professional Biography: Donald D. Bell
Over 40 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device and fine chemical industries. Currently co-own and co-manage Shore Consultants, an executive recruiting firm in the medical device industry. Founded in 2004, Shore Consultants is one of the most focused recruiting firms in the US, (now nearly 100% focused in the medical device industry).
Formerly, President of Siegfried USA a wholly owned subsidiary of a Swiss multi-national pharmaceutical company, (US $75M revenue and 225 employees). Provided leadership for the four-year turn-around of this producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients in both a custom manufacturing and generic (off patent) mode. Senior Vice-President and member of the executive committee of Siegfried Ltd, developing strategic directions for the global Swiss corporation. As a result of fundamental changes in day-to-day operations, the US subsidiary now operates without a warning letter, as a compliant, profitable company. The company has had 6 FDA inspections with no action indicated and returns significantly above average financial margins.
Prior history of progressively responsible management experience with the Eastman Kodak Company, (24 years). Experiences centered on manufacturing and supply chain with executive positions in manufacturing, logistics, strategic planning and purchasing. Business Unit assignment with Kodak’s largest business unit (Consumer Imaging) in London for 2 years with full P&L responsibility.
Certifications with the American Production and Inventory Control Society (CPIM) and the National Association of Purchasing Managers (CPM). BS degree in Biology and Organic Chemistry from the State University of New York; MS degree in Toxicology from the University of Rochester, MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
Professional Biography: Rosemary Bell
Rosemary has 10 plus successful years recruiting focused in the medical device industry, providing talent in a variety of roles to small, mid-size and large companies. These roles include R&D, Regulatory, Quality (QA, QE, QS) and Clinical, Operations and Finance from Director level to individual contributors.
Rosemary also has 30 years of experience in the health care field providing her a unique understanding of products, clinical applications and specific talent needs of her clients. Her background is extensive and includes wide-ranging experience in medical case management and administration of workers’’ compensation benefits as well as disability management services (Xerox Corporation). She has extensive experience in the field of occupational health (Sybron/ABB/Taylor Instrument) and employee health (Rochester General Hospital). She was responsible for all Quality Assurance activities and Protocol Development for the EHS (Employee Health Services) unit of this 700 bed hospital in her role as Clinician II.
Rosemary has also performed Medicaid, Medicare review for appropriateness and level of care as well as participated in physician peer review as part of her role with the PSRO (Physician Standards Review Organization).
Rosemary is a Registered Nurse having received her BS degree from State University of New York. She also has been certified by the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses (C.O.H.N.).
In Rosemary’s spare time she is an accomplished artist, and spends her free time enjoying the Thousand Islands area of Upstate New York.
